- Remove the idea that you will be able to get pregnant once you take a lot of sex. It is not that way. There are only limited days that you can get pregnant. Why? Because there are only a few days that a woman is fertile or it is at its peak. It means that roughly 25 percent is your only chance of getting pregnant each month.
- You have to know proper timing when conceiving. An ideal 28 day cycle’s ovulation is on the 14th day. But not all women have the perfect cycle. Some has longer and some has shorter cycles. Some do not ovulate on the halfway point. It’s common that a woman may ovulate on the 13h, 14th, 15th or 16th. Ovulation changes every month. If you will use this as your means of identifying your ovulation period, you better make a chart of your menstruation cycle first for a couple of months. Jut down the dates for you to know the trend of your cycle.
- Get your basal temperature and chart the results. Do this for a couple of months in order for you to know how to predict when are you ovulating. Take your temperature every morning before doing anything.
- Remember that you have to let the sperm “waiting” for the egg cell to be released. So the best time to have contact is before ovulation period. Egg cell last only for abut 12 to 24 hours while sperm cell can last up to three to five days.
- Do not use standing and sitting sexual positions when making love because it has shallow penetration. Instead, use rear-entry, side by side and missionary sexual positions to have dipper penetration. The goal is to have the sperm cell swim near the cervix which can be done by having the right sexual positions.
- On the day you decided to get pregnant, stop taking any pills. It takes time to go back to your regular menstrual cycle.
- Eat foods that are rich in folic acid and vitamins C. Avoid foods that are rich in carbohydrates and trans fat.
