The Art Of Artificial Insemination
Gone are the days when the only solution to childlessness was surrogacy and adoption. The magic of science does not let the prayers of childless parents go in vain. Artificial insemination is a method that can cure all problems of infertility in both men and women. But have you ever wondered how to get pregnant from Artificial insemination? It is quite simple, Artificial insemination also termed as intrauterine insemination is a technique where the sperms are directly inserted into the uterus of the woman at the time of ovulation to get the sperm closer to the egg. The technique includes the use of a lot of fertility drugs as well.
The treatment is very beneficial to couples where the man has less sperm count or the mobility of the sperm is poor. It helps couples who face difficulty in having sex due to some sort of an injury or disability or some familial genetic disorder. In fact single women without a male partner or homosexuals can also enjoy the benefit of having a child as there are sperm donators who ease the process. It is very important to detect the donor sperm of any HIV before the technique starts.
Artificial Insemination makes the process of how to get pregnant simple. Artificial insemination is of two kinds, stimulated cycle “unstimulated cycle” or “natural cycle”. If you are asked to use fertility drugs then it is called the “stimulated cycle” as the drugs play a major role in stimulating the ovulation. On the other hand, if fertility drugs are not used, the process would be termed as “unstimulated cycle” or “natural cycle”. If the reason for infertility is not known or it is your partner who has fertility problems then stimulated ovulation is not advisable as it might lead to multiple pregnancies thereby increasing the risk of miscarriage and other complications. In the unstimulated cycle sperm is inserted at the time of natural ovulation which the doctor keeps a track of through blood and urine tests.
Since, the timing of the insemination is so vital, the donor has to produce a sperm by masturbating at the clinic which might be uncomfortable for few women. In case of stimulated cycle there is a high chance to develop a condition called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).This takes place when the ovaries react too well to the fertility drugs used at the time of ovulation. As a result the ovaries enlarge several times more than their original size making the person bloated and overweight. The donor has no rights to the child, also in case of a married couple the actual right and responsibility of the child goes to the male partner of the woman unless they are judicially separated or the male partner has refused to acknowledge the treatment in paper before the technique started.
The success rate of how to get pregnant from artificial insemination depends on the cause of the infertility problem and your age. At the same time it also depends on the quality of the sperms and how healthy they are. You may have to take plenty of endeavors to make this technique a success.
