Exercising Your Way to Pregnancy: A Guide for Father-Wannabe’s

Women aren’t the only ones concerned about how to get pregnant. Some studies have shown that men, especially the ones suffering from obesity, also have fertility issues. It has been found that men whose body mass indexes (weight measure in relation to height) are over 25 had lower sperm count and concentration compared with healthier men. As a result, they have a harder time making babies.

However, overweight men aren’t the only ones having trouble getting their partners pregnant. Men who exercise too much are risking themselves of becoming underweight; and this condition may affect fertility too! It has been found that being underweight limits the motility of the sperm as well as causes their abnormal morphology. Having said that, one can conclude that it is neither advisable to be overweight nor underweight if a man wants to have a baby.

So, when exercising your way to pregnancy, one thing to bear in mind is that moderation is the key. If you are on the heavier side of the scale, it is best to start an exercise program slowly. Since no one loses weight overnight anyway, do not push yourself too hard. Think of your exercise program as a long-term plan.

When creating your program, you have to ensure that it includes the following: stretching, aerobic, and weight training. Do a little of each every time until you become slightly tired – but never until you are totally worn out. If possible, find a sport or activity which you love to do so you can enjoy exercising.

Walking can be an excellent way to do low-impact aerobics. If you are not an active person, you can try walking moderately. Start by walking for ten minutes then build up to 30, and then 60 each day.

Other exercises you can do are cycling, swimming, and yoga. When doing each, start slowly; then, increase the intensity gradually as well as the duration until you can do it for at least 30 minutes, four times a week.

Some studies have suggested that there are certain yoga postures that can help in boosting fertility. These positions are those which significantly increase the blood flow towards the reproductive organs. This increase stimulates ovulation and improves the condition of the uterus, making it more conducive for conception.

However, if you are already underweight because you have been aggressively exercising, you need to increase your caloric intake and decrease your workout days. You need to reach a normal weight in order to improve the quality of the sperm your body is producing. You should also start wearing lose underwear. When the temperature inside your testicles reaches 96F degrees and above, your sperm may die. Simply put: do not sweat yourself too hard and two, do not wear tight undies.

These are some great ways on how to exercise your way to pregnancy. Remember that having a baby may take a little longer for other people but this doesn’t mean that it’s never going to happen. If you explore techniques on how to get pregnant, you may be surprised at how effective some of them can be.
